It's that time of year when Baby, it's COLD outside!

We'd like to keep our dogs warm and fed, but that costs money!
We need YOUR help to keep our dogs safe and warm!

Jasper Veterinary Clinic in Lafayette, Colorado

and Struttin' Pup pet boutique in Lafayette, Colorado also
(Struttin' Pup has our wish list of dog food)

Can't stop by either location, but you'd still like to help? DONATE!

From Hell and Back... THEY NEED YOU!!

We want you to welcome two new faces to Colorado Pit Bull Rescue; meet Java and Jersey.

Java

Jersey

Both of these dogs have come from the worst of a situation, and are very lucky to be alive.
You see, both Jersey and Java, are from Missouri, they are part of the group of 500 dogs that we mentioned in last week's post- (hopefully you've all went out and bought a copy of Time Magazine)

Java is about 70+ pounds, between 5-6 years old, and is very lovable, constantly looking around in wonder of his new world. Life for him is no longer being chained up to a post, with no shelter, or any human interaction. This boy is looking for love with all the humans he interacts with.

Jersey is about 40 pounds, also between 5-6 years old, and just wants to sit in laps. Another example of breeding dog, she wants to be someone's best girl, and be cherished for once. She loves humans, wants to give Pibble kisses to any human heart she can get her eyes on.

These dogs are in rough shape and need any extra we as a community can give. (This is where YOU come along too. ) We'd love also to find both Jersey and Java foster homes so they can know the comfort of a home for the holidays. They have a lot to be thankful for this year, they are alive and well, which is a far cry from where they were a year ago. But we'd like to get them further, we'd like to get them to the other side of where they have been... we'd like to get them to HOME...

Currently we need help with Java and Jersey's vetting and boarding. We want to make sure they are healthy and up to date on vaccines before they go into a home.

CAN YOU HELP?

Go out and get a copy!

Feeling like you need to go out and do something after a day of eating too much food?

Go out and get a copy of Time Magazine TODAY!

There's an article in Time magazine that comes out today- and it features the dogs from the largest dog fighting ring in US history. Nearly 500 dogs were rescued.

Go out and get yourself a copy- this is history in the making folks, the more people see what these dogs endured, and survived and remained RESILIENT the better!

This is great for Pit Bulls rescues everywhere!

Happy Happy Beginning,.... LOKI!

Who could we ever forget Loki??

Loki was a little pittie mix that spent 10 months in a very small shelter that still uses the gas chamber, as their form of euthanasia. He was slated to die when we agreed to take him, mostly because of the heartbreak it was causing the shelter staff that held him that long to just have to put him down.

Look at Loki now with his Daddy:

Happy Beginnings do exist!! He's cherished and has become a beloved companion!!

A sneak peek at someone that needs YOU!

Meet Baloo, he's been abandoned at a shelter for the past 6 months.
This not so little guy needs YOUR help.

We'd like to find him a home, but if that won't work we'd like to find him a foster to get him out of the shelter environment so he can be in a real home so he knows what it's like to be a real dog!

He loves people big and small, and would love the opportunity to be someone's snuggle bug.
Right now he'd be better in a home without little dogs or cats.

He's waiting for someone... someone LIKE YOU!!!

Wow!!! Thank you!

We had an amazing turn out yesterday at Farfel's Farm.

A huge community of Pit Bull owners, lovers and supporters came through to support us and our dogs. WE cannot say Thank you enough to all the wonderful people that helped us yesterday!!

Here's a little slide show of some of the dogs that showed up yesterday (More photos will come through in the next few days, as the emails come through with more photos) We just thought we'd give you a little sniplet to view!

We want to make sure to thank Farfel's Farm for making the day possible for us, and for 9news for doing such a great piece on the rescue.

We still have a lot of work to do, and our dogs need all the help they can get, we just made some progress in the past 48 hours, but let's pull together and do more!
